Spring came, ideas are storming! 17 Apr 2009 posted by Ville This is what happens when the spring comes along with its bright attitude, the new spring yarns hit the market and weird ideas come together. "Hey, I ll make a first Outo interior decoration piece! I wanted it to look like a big candy or a pill, heh. And it does look sweet! It took 4 h to make and the result was totally worth it. When I received this order I had to think a lot. A girl wanted a laptop cover and a iPod cover with the same design as in Squared beanie. I knew right from the start that it was not going to be easy, but what I did not know was that these two items turned out to be so cool! They took heaps of time to make but man they look good! Thanks Jasmina! If you have a different or "odd" idea, do not hesitate to ask if it is doable! I love challenges. Customer is king! Way to go Jussi! 23 Feb 2009 posted by Ville Jussi Leinonen, a guy who I started to do business with more than 5 years ago has won the prize for the best newspaper photographer in Finland in 2008. The very same guy who designed and made the first website for Outo. He has made them since and added always some of his photographs and designs here and there. The prize must be very rewarding for Jussi and it will help him in the future. I hope Jussi all the best! And then I went to Spain for a good vacation. Christmas rush was as hectic as always and it was great to relax for a while. But now I’m back and making the orders I’ve got during the trip. Please be patient, I will make them as fast as possible! Just before Christmas a new school book called Galleri 7 was published. It is for the Swedish language learners and includes an article about Outo. It is truly amazing to be a part of the Finnish school education. Almost every kid in Finnish schools will read my story because Swedish is compulsory in Finland. And that is for the next 3-10 years, so great! This is the sixth operating year for Outo Wear & Gear and I’m going to push it forward harder than ever. The new clothing line is coming out in summer and a new website with new beanies and other new products in fall. Smooth. Thank you for an awesome year and let’s make this one even greater!
